Women's Community Dinners, September 12

Women's Ministry Community Dinners are back! Small groups of 6-8 women meet at a home or restaurant to simply get to know each other and enjoy good food and conversation.

The next dinner is Sept 12. Please send an email to Katie Carmichael at katie.carmichael@providenceday.org if you are interested in participating, and also indicate if you are willing to host/coordinate one of the groups.

Hosting can be as easy as collecting money for take-out pizza or having potluck or letting everyone bring their favorite salad ingredient. If you don't want to host, you can coordinate by picking the time and restaurant and sending an email to the group. We will then send out an invitation for each dinner, and divide the folks that can attend into small groups. Last year almost 100 women participated - don't miss out this year!

 

Discipleship Training Conference, October 4-5

We all come from a family and many of us are now raising our own families.  It is the most basic and foundational unit of church, society, and culture.  But, what exactly did God have in mind when he created the family?  What is its purpose?  And how does God use it to advance his Kingdom on earth? 

This conference is designed to address these questions by helping each of us — whether we are married or single, whether we have many children or no children — to understand the theological and biblical foundations for family and our responsibilities as Christians to the families that God has given us.

This conference will focus on three areas: (a) evangelizing our families, (b) discipling
our families, and (c) mobilizing our families for ministry.

To register visit www.regonline.com/uptown.  Cost of the conference is $25 per adult before September 29th and then $35 at the door.  Children under 18 are free.
