We continue to communicate updates and changes through a variety of media including weekly email, website, and social media.
We will encourage you to take responsibility for yourselves, assess your own risk category, and act within your comfort level. See the CDC guidelines here: CDC High-Risk Assessment.
2. New Phase
We will move into Phase 2.5 – Safer at Home on Friday, September 4th at 5pm in accordance with Governor Cooper’s guidance.
3. Back to 2 Worship Services: 9:00 & 10:30
We have increased our capacity to a max of 150 in the sanctuary, still in accordance with local max capacity guidelines (up to 50% of fire code max capacity).
We will NOT be cleaning in between services any longer. There will however be lysol and other cleaning supplies available in the bathrooms and cafe for individuals to clean their own spaces.
Please note the entire building is cleaned prior to the 9am service.
There will be No Nursery, Children’s Ministry, or Children’s Worship available during phase 2.5.
Children of all ages are welcome to attend the service.
In lieu of a traditional nursery at this point, the Uptown Kids team is happy to be providing live-stream in the Café with separate, distanced “family unit pods” complete with chairs and floor mats. While children are welcome in the service, please feel free to use this space when staying in the service feels difficult.
In the café, we will continue to love our neighbors by following good virus-prevention protocols (adults in masks). The space will be cleaned each week and there will be a designated nursing moms section.
Registration will be required for all who plan to attend. We will use Registrations on Planning Center to manage our headcount.
6. Masks & Hand Sanitizer
Masks will be required for everyone in the building, ages 5 and up, in accordance with Governor Cooper’s most recent guidelines.
We will provide disposable masks for those who forget, but encourage members to provide their own.
We will also provide multiple hand sanitizer stations, but also encourage you to bring your own.
Children 2 and under should NOT wear a face-covering per CDC guidelines.
Pews will be marked or roped off in order to maintain proper social distancing. Please try to keep 1 ROW and 3 SEATS between family units.
8. Worship Guides
We will continue to use the online Worship Guide during Phase 2.5. This will also be available online prior to Sunday to be printed at home if desired, as well as available by QR code in various locations throughout the sanctuary.
9. Live Streaming
With the return to 2 service, we’ve decided to begin live streaming at 9am. The service will be available to play back anytime after 10:30 Sundays. We hope this is more convenient for a wider audience.
Online giving will continue. You may still mail a check to the office as well. There will be a locked collection box available in the sanctuary to drop your check off in person
11. Still Sick
If you or someone in your household is sick, we ask that you remain home. Please see CDC Guidelines… If you are sick or caring for someone who is sick for full details on what you should do.
