America has boring money. If you look at any other currencies, they are colorful and funky shapes and have pictures of different people and are just fun! It feels like playing with Monopoly money but you get to purchase real things. Part of the international travel process is to go and convert your money. If you do not exchange the currency, you do not get to reap the benefits. The same thing is true of our spiritual conversions.

Christianity without conversion is like walking around $1,000,000 worth of Canadian Dollars in your wallet. It’s fun and interesting to look at, but does not get you anything. Following the morals God lays out in the Bible is beneficial, but will not get you into a right relationship with God. It takes a wholehearted conversion. You must exchange your sinful and broken life for Christ’s perfect and holy life. We need to keep this great exchange in mind when sharing the gospel with others. It’s no use telling people that their money is worthless without giving them the opportunity to exchange it, but we often hesitate from doing so. It’s the greatest trade imaginable, so we should be happy and eager to invite our non-believing friends to convert.
