Every Sunday afternoon, starting today, our goal will be to post some reflective questions from the morning sermon. This week Tom preached “Loving the Weaker Brother” from 1 Corinthians 8:1-13. Here are some thoughts I had as I considered today’s passage and sermon.
- What can we do in order to love our “weaker brothers” in Christ?
- Have you ever given up something something good so that it wouldn’t be an obstacle for another?
- Are you offending someone with your Christian freedom?
- What good is knowledge if we have not love?
Some examples of Christian freedoms that Tom listed were Sabbath views, drinking, smoking, entertainment, clothes, and our use of money. Let us consider these questions as we seek to serve the Lord this week in our daily lives.
