Ashley Mink

Originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, Ashley went to the University of Virginia, studied history and religion, and was a Young Life leader. It was at a Young Life camp in 9th grade where Ashley first heard the Gospel preached in a way she understood, and she knew then that God had been pursuing her for years.

Ashley has been on staff at Uptown since 2019 in a variety of roles: coordinating nursery, co-leading Kid’s Ministry, and now directing Women’s Ministry. Ashley considers serving Uptown one of the greatest blessings in her life. She is passionate about connecting people to each other and to resources that help them grow their faith in Jesus.

When Ashley first moved to Charlotte in 1997, she met a fellow Young Life leader named Jay. They have been married since 2001 and have three amazing adult children. Ashley is always trying out new hobbies. She loves cooking (very improvisationally, all ethnicities), listening to audiobooks, and watercoloring. Some of her favorite things are her dogs, traveling (Italy, please!), a well-sharpened pencil, and fizzy water.
