Kids' Ministry
Welcome to Uptown Kids!
Uptown Kids exists to come alongside families to care for and disciple infants to fifth graders in the Word and give them a sense of belonging in the church. Doing so, we aim to prepare the children of Uptown for a life On Kingdom Mission.
We have Nursery (infants to four years old) the entire Sunday morning, Elementary Sunday School classes before service, and Children's Church during the service for Pre-K to 2nd Grade.
We also have a Baby Breakroom available inside the Nursery.
Directions
If it is your first time at Uptown, find someone wearing a lanyard at any of the entrances, and they will direct you to Uptown Kids and connect you with someone to get you checked-in.
You'll check-in your kids at an Uptown Kids Kiosk (look for the red sign). Your kid will receive a name tag, and you will have a matching security tag to show when you pick them up after class or service is over!
Safety
The safety of the kids in our care is our top priority. Each staff and volunteer in Uptown Youth and Kids contractually agrees to the policy below. We also have police officers on site every week and a robust medical team prepared to respond to emergencies.
Accessibility
Believing that all children are image bearers of God, Uptown strives to create spaces where children of all abilities can worship and belong. We're excited to be continually learning through our Room on Our Pew cohort.

Path of Discipleship
In Nursery, we teach kids that they are created by God, loved by Him very much, and the Bible is their guide. Amidst the toys and snacks, we read many books that teach these truths, as well as a chapter from The Beginner’s Gospel Story Bible each week.
In Elementary, we remind kids that their identity is shaped by who God says they are in Christ. For Pre-K to 2nd Grade, we use The Biggest Story to teach about Jesus and show how all of Scripture points to Him. From 3rd to 5th Grade, students go through New City Catechism which helps them apply foundational truths to their identity in Christ.
