Welcome to Uptown Youth!
Uptown Youth exists to serve sixth to twelfth graders and their families through Biblical teaching, unifying experiences, and intentional discipleship.
Our goal is for each student to walk closely with Jesus, finding a gospel-centered life of service, community, and rest.
Sunday School
Sunday morning is Uptown Youth’s most regular opportunity to build relationships and be discipled. After donuts and games, we spend most of the morning in age-and-gender-specific Mentor Groups led by committed adult Youth Leaders.
Mentor Groups catch up and dive into the Word weekly, allowing students to develop meaningful relationships and ask questions about Scripture together.
Youth Nights
Every fourth Sunday night of the month during the school year, we share a meal, play some of our best games, and hear testimonies of the Lord's work in others' lives.
If you've been wanting to invite a friend to church, bringing them to a Youth Night is a great first step!
Fall Retreat
Each fall, Uptown Youth has our annual Fall Retreat where we head to the mountains for a tech-free weekend packed with competitions, teaching, guided quiet time in the Word, and small group reflections.

Loving CLT
Throughout the year, our students have opportunities to be the hands and feet of Christ by showing His love to our neighbors in Charlotte. Uptown Youth has done service projects as well as overnight service trips. More information coming soon about our Loving CLT 2027 plans!
Profession of Faith Class
The Profession of Faith process is for children of communing members of Uptown Church who acknowledge Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, have committed their life to serving Him and making Him known, and are therefore welcome to the Lord's Table and full membership in the church.
This class is not merely a process by which students become members of the church. It is also a unique opportunity for spiritual growth aimed at shaping their hearts, not testing their knowledge, as they read This Changes Everything: How the Gospel Transforms the Teen Years, discuss their faith with their parents, and meet with peers and leaders from church.
Largely, we see this process as one best fit to the ages where the students will be participating in Youth Group. The class happens annually every spring.
