Jeremy Goodwyne

Jeremy was born in Oklahoma, raised in Georgia, adolesced in South Carolina, and adulted in North Carolina. He studied Classical Guitar at Anderson University and Church Music at Erskine Theological Seminary and has surprisingly found himself as the elder statesman on staff, having been at Uptown since 2009.

Jeremy grew up in the church with parents who loved the Lord and taught him to love Him. Jeremy started doing music very young, and being the kid in youth group who could sing and play guitar, he ended up leading worship before he knew his right hand from his left. While Jeremy “harbored delusions of rock stardom” for many years, the Lord in His kindness led Jeremy to his vocational calling of leading worship. 

He is married to Julie, and they have two beautiful kids, Abel and Aurelia (Rilly). They have lived on the westside in Biddleville since 2011. Jeremy released an album of original songs and hymn retunes in 2024 called Firstfruits, which you can find on any streaming service.
