Michael Richter

I am originally from Appleton, Wisconsin, and went to Clemson University–Go Tigers! Elizabeth and I have been married for sixteen years, and we have one son and one daughter. I have also spent my entire career banking here in Charlotte.

My connection to Uptown runs deep as I came to know Christ soon after I first attended Uptown and learned about Reformed theology. Having experienced firsthand the depth of the gospel and the community at this church, I feel a distinctive and personal call to serve here. 

I am an incredibly avid fan of advanced fantasy baseball formats (especially deep, highly competitive leagues) and love spending time out on the golf course, a passion I especially enjoy sharing with my son. I also take the resting and wrapping phases of smoking a brisket incredibly seriously.
